1. Use Our Map
HOW OUR MAPPING TOOL WORKS: After you choose your first county, via the drop down menus, press the "submit" button, you will be taken to PayPal to pay for the service. PayPal allows you to use company or personal credit cards, or your own PayPal account.
We charge $20.00 per county. The information will be available to you through the end of May, 2010. You can login with your email address and password to view the information, anytime during that period.
You will be granted access to inspect counties of interest to you, as you purchase 1 county view at a time. Based on the color code, below, you will be able to see filings made to the Comprehensive Community Infrastructure (CCI) categorical program of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). All such CCI applications were filed in Round 2 of the federal broadband stimulus program.
Applicants applying for CCI funding are proposing to build middle mile networks terminating at community anchor institutions and network points of presence (POPs), and network points of interconnection.
At this time, we have not uploaded information for Round 2 filings made to the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture
After your payment is successfully processed, you will be redirected back to this site. Here you will see a map of the county you selected; you may zoom and pan to any areas of interest. At anytime up through the end of May, you may view the entire list of your purchased counties by clicking "My Maps" in the upper right.
Mapping Color Code:
(All Codes Reflect Filings Made in Round 2, Per County, to NTIA's CCI Category only)
Yellow indicates: No application submitted in any census block group or census tract.
Green indicates: One or more census block groups for which an application was submitted.
Orange indicates: One or more census tracts for which an application was submitted.
Note 1: NTIA has not released information as to which CCI applicants have applied for which specific highlighted areas. It is very possible that a single highlighted area may have multiple applicant entities seeking NTIA CCI grant monies for that area, at the census block group or tract
Note 2: Highlighting may also reflect, in specific locations, 1 or more applicants, and/or multiple applications that applied in adjacent block groups and/or tracts, without applying in the larger and adjacent groupings of either. Thus, many counties highlight as solid orange or solid green, across all census tracts. Keep in mind that does not necessarily indicate 1 single applicant has applied to serve or terminate facilities in each block group or tract.
Multiple County Views:
To see the information in more than one county, just click on the "Find Another County" link on your order information page and repeat the payment and viewing process. All of your selected and purchased maps will remain available to you up through the end of May. You can navigate to your list of selections by clicking "My Maps" in the upper right.
